THOUGHTS FROM THE FLU
only the sick can see
the arrogance that afflicts
the healthy;
doomed as they are,
inevitably, the sick await
death's murky reverie
while the healthy
pretend they might,
eventually,
outrun the end.
neither endures.
life has no cure.
